How to Draw a Garlic

Step 1. Start with a Curve: Draw a large ‘C’ shaped curve. This forms one side of the garlic bulb.
Step 2. Complete the Bulb Outline: Mirror the ‘C’ shape to complete the outline of the garlic bulb, but don’t close it off at the top and the bottom just yet.
Step 3. Add the Stem: At the top center of the bulb outline, draw a shape like a small vertical rectangle with a line in the middle for the stem.
Step 4. Draw the Roots: Sketch several small lines at the bottom of the garlic bulb to represent the roots.
Step 5. Detail the Cloves: Inside the bulb outline, draw several curved lines that follow the shape of the bulb. These lines create the individual garlic cloves.
Step 6. Finish with Color: Finally, color your drawing. The cloves can be shaded lightly to indicate their dimension, and the roots can be a darker shade to show they are underneath the bulb.
