How to Draw Mercury
Today we’re going to learn how to draw Mercury, the smallest and closest planet to the Sun in our solar system. Mercury is named after the Roman messenger of the gods and is known for its rapid orbit around the Sun, taking just 88 Earth days to complete one orbit. This rocky planet has a surface filled with craters, much like our Moon. Are you ready to draw Mercury? Let’s get started!

Draw a Circle. Start by drawing a circle in the middle of your paper. This will be the main shape of Mercury. You can use a round object like a cup or a lid to help create a perfect circle, or you can draw it freehand.
Add craters. Now it’s time to add some craters Draw a variety of small circles and ovals on the surface of the planet.
Add surface features. Make sure to vary the sizes and shapes of the surface features to create an interesting texture.
Draw light reflection areas. Draw curved lines to form the lighter areas on Mercury.
Color this mercury. You can use colored pencils or crayons to shade in Mercury, then you’ve just drawn a fantastic representation of Mercury.
