How to Draw a Butterfly

A butterfly is a nectar-eating insect with two large, usually brightly colored wings covered with microscopic scales. Butterflies are beautiful.

By following some easy steps, anyone can learn how to draw a beautiful butterfly.

First draw the head and body of the butterfly.
Extend two curves from the head and draw the spiral tentacles.
Outline the two pairs of wings on both sides of the body.
Shade to bold the wing lines. During flight, the forewing and hindwing are held together and function as one wing.
Draw some stripes on the part of the forewing close to the body. Please note that the patterns of the left and right wings are symmetrical.
Add some vertical wavy lines in the forewings.
Add some hollow spots to the inside of the double wavy lines.
Add some hollow spots to the outside of the double wavy lines.
Draw some shapes similar to water droplets on the hindwings.
Apply some bright colors to the butterfly.
