How to Draw a Herring Gull
Herring Gulls are one of the most common seabirds in North America and Europe. They are found near the coast or in inland waterways. They are also known as the “sea gull” or “common gull”. Drawing a herring gull can be done by following these simple steps.

Start with the bill and nostril.
Outline the crown and nape.
Draw the circle eye and two curved lines.
Outline the bird’s body and the wing on the side of the body.
Draw the wing feathers.
Sketch the uppertail coverts and the tail feathers.
Add the legs and claws.
Coloring Tips: Its head, body, and tail are white, its bill is yellow with a red spot on the lower tip, and its legs are pink or flesh-coloured. The backs and upper wing surfaces of adult gulls are grey, and the tips of their outermost flight feathers are black with a white spot.
