How to Draw a Castle

A castle is a large building, typically of the medieval period, fortified against attack with thick walls, battlements, towers, and in many cases a moat.

Drawing a castle is a challenge, but it’s easier than you think. Just follow us and learn how to draw a castle with this tutorial.

Start by drawing a triangle. This is the roof of the middle tower.
Extend two short lines from the bottom of the triangle and draw the battlements below, then extend two straight lines downward.
Draw the wall and battlement at the bottom.
Draw a tower on the left.
Draw a tower on the right.
Draw more walls and battlements on the outer left and right sides.
Draw the floor and roof above the battlements.
Draw some clouds around the castle to indicate that the castle is at an elevated position.
Draw stars and flags on the tops of the towers.
Color the castle.
