The Chameleon is a very popular type of Lizard due to the fact that it has the ability to change colors based on their mood. This also allows them to blend into the surroundings for safety. Other factors influence color too including mating season and even the temperature around them. Follow this step-by-step guide to draw a chameleon.

Begin by drawing a small circle. This will form the chameleon’s head.
Enclose an “M” shape to the left of the circle. This will form the chameleon’s mouth. And enclose an “M” shape to the right of the circle, forming the body.
Extending from the top of the head to the bottom of the body, using short, curved lines connected in jagged points. Then draw two spiraling lines to form the chameleon’s tail.
Draw two hands using two pair of short curved lines. Complete the hands using “U” shaped lines to form the fingers.
Erase the guidelines from the body.
From the chameleon’s mouth, draw two parallel, spiraling lines to form the its tongue. Allow the lines to meet in a rounded point.
Draw a circle for the eye. Then draw a smaller one within the eye, and shade between the two. Sketch some irregular shapes on the body to generate spots.
Sketch a big tree branch, holding by the chameleon.
Add some leaves on the branch.
Color the chameleon and the tree branch.
