How To Draw A Simple Sketch Of Bauhinia Blakeana
Bauhinia blakeana belongs to the genus Bauhinia of the family Caesalpiniaceae, and is also known as Hong Kong Orchid Tree, Red Bauhinia, etc. Its leaves are nearly leathery, ranging from broadly ovate to nearly circular in shape. The apex of the leaf is divided into two lobes, which look like a sheep’s hoof. The flowers are large and brightly colored, mostly purplish red or light red, and also have unique markings. They usually bloom on the raceme inflorescence. Bauhinia blakeana prefers sunlight and a warm and humid environment, and has low requirements for the soil. It is mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical regions, and is quite common in the southern provinces of China. It has extremely high ornamental value and is often used for urban greening, adding color to roads and courtyards. The bark can be used as tannin materials and dyes, and the hard wood can be used to make agricultural tools, so it has a rather high practical value.
